PKR Poker Software Description

PKR launched in August of 2006, and was dubbed the next generation in online poker for their innovative real-time, 3D poker capabilities. With a unique software platform already immensely popular with their rapidly growing player base, PKR saw fit to upgrade the software nearly a year later in May of 2007.

The overhaul of PKR's poker software, upgrade version v1.2, saw the incorporation of unique features, some never before seen in the Internet poker industry. The update included a new 'Met Bar' environment, a new tournament ranking and leader board system, plus new avatar animations and customization abilities.

The 'Met Bar' is a complete virtual environment. 3D PKR poker players are offered a complete panoramic view of the urban-style bar, with the inclusion of window views. The floor to ceiling windows provide an outstanding view of the city skyline, adding to the realistic effect of the 3D poker room.

Avatar customization was upgraded to allow players even more control over their virtual appearance. Players could now adjust the weight of their 3D character. Whether creating a true representation of themselves, or an alter ego, the weight range could now climb from waif-like appearance to bulbous features.

New clothing was added, including sporting paraphernalia like rugby and football shirts. A wider range of tattoo selections, headphones, earrings, body piercings and other fashionable accessories were integrated.

PKR Poker's Tournament Ranking and Leader Board features received a system upgrade as well. All real money players now receive sit n go and multi-table rankings that reflect their recent actions and results, rather than over time, giving new players the ability to move up the rank ladder more quickly. This system also allows PKR members to receive monthly prizes and promotional offerings each month based on their leader board performance.

Finally, the software upgrade implemented new functionality to the Emote Control System. The expansion of this feature gives players the opportunity to take advantage of even more facial expressions, as well as setting the mood and body language for an avatar when they are seated at a table, but not actively playing. PKR players also have the new option of standing up at the table when confronted with an all-in showdown.

PKR Poker just saw a landmark event - the anniversary of the 3D online poker room, August 17, 2007. This niche in their time line immediately follows PKR's announcement of a signed deal with PlayTech to launch PKR Online Casino. A release date for PKR Online Casino has not yet been revealed. It is not yet known whether the online casino venture will boast the same 'video game style' interface as PKR Poker has become so famous for.

Have You Ever Tried Reformatting The USB Flash Memory

The USB memory is somewhat like the disk drive where data or records can be stored. USB flash memory is like a tiny hard drive that can be plugged into the CPU whenever you need to view the data or records stored on it. There are many advantages to using a USB drive rather than a CD.

On of the reasons why USB memory is better than using a disk is that a USB drive can have a larger capacity than a CD. These drives can hold a lot more data because there is more drive space. The best thing about these drives is that you can reformat them. You can delete all of the information and use the space for something totally different. You don't have to buy a new one if you don't need the old information. With a CD, you can't reformat for reuse.

Even without reformatting a USB drive, you can use it for several different purposes and save tons of data and records. Along with that flexibility, it is also very small and portable. You can even carry it in your pocket or string it around your neck.

The prices depend on the amount of GB power the USB drive has. They are not that costly, but it may take time to pick out the right one, depending on the buyer's needs. They are quite available in any kind of computer hardware or software store.

Many people think that buying a USB drive is an unwise purchase because of the price and they end up buying a CD. When a CD is full, and there is no longer a use for the information, it can just be thrown away. You never have to throw away a USB drive because it is full and useless. They can be reformatted and used again.

The process of reformatting a USB flash memory is very easy and takes very little time. There is not a lot to learn. A right click on the USB icon will offer several options including reformatting. Click the reformat option on the menu and the drive can be deleted within minutes. The drive becomes clean again, making it ready for the new data.

Hence, we can see that reformatting a USB flash memory is not at all as complicated as some have thought. In fact, this task can be done by anyone who can click the mouse, even if they don't know a lot about operating a computer. Now that you know that a USB flash memory is a better deal than a CD, you can go to a store and buy one. You can also find them online. You can browse the internet for the best price on a USB flash memory drive and forget about using a CD for your data needs.

Victor Epand is an expert consultant for computers, laptops and software. When shopping for used computers, used laptops and used software, we recommend you shop at only the best online stores for used computer flash memory, used laptop, used reformatting the USB flash memory software.

Compare Camera Price of Some Top Models

The rules for buying a good camera go far beyond finding the features that you want. Obviously you will want a camera to fulfil certain criteria, but unless you are a professional photographer, most cameras you look at these days do far more than you could possibly use in a lifetime.

As with most areas of technology, prices for cameras go up and down, but a good one does not necessarily have to cost a fortune. Not getting the absolute top of the range camera is not the end of the world, and quite frankly, a camera with such high specifications will do far more than we will ever need from a camera.

The best thing to do at the outset is to make a list of the essential features that you require. Then you can start your research in earnest, and find out what is available and what is on offer. With the range of cameras available today, you have a great chance of finding what you want at a price that you can afford. And to this end, the Internet is your friend.

And if you cannot find a camera in your budget, take another look at your list of features. Try and see if any of the features you thought were essential are things that you would actually make use of. Things sometimes seem like good ideas, but in the cold light of day, many of the features you think of as essential are more likely to be peripheral, and in some cases, a waster of money.

It is certainly worth bearing in mind that some cameras with fantastic features are not new. Cameras that are a couple of years old will have reduced substantially in price, and by choosing one of these, you can wonderful cameras for a fraction of their original cost. It is also worth bearing in mind that some of these cameras may have only been upgraded in certain areas, areas in which you are not concerned. You need to be aware, therefore, how important it is that you undertake your research carefully.

Here are some great ideas for cameras that do not cost the earth but offer great features, yet still come within a reasonable budget. Wildlife Photography

Those of us who love watching wild animals have a tendency to capture them in photos and this in itself is a great form of art that forms a large part of our picture collections. The photos are a good thing to use on post cards that we send to people when we want to send season or greeting cards.

Wildlife photography is the name given to this art that refers to taking photo shoots of real and live animals in the wild or in game parks. In a way, it connects us with and brings us closer to nature in a way that can only be termed as mysterious. With the invention of the modern-day digital cameras, it is actually easier and more fascinating to capture the wild animals in pictures.

Wildlife photography may not be as easy as this extract may seem to put it. It requires extra caution especially when dealing with large carnivores. You do not want to end up being the center of the photos as journalists take your photos as they report that you were killed by these fierce animals as you did your photo shoots. You will need good skills too if you are to produce quality work. Though necessary, good skills combined with good equipment will ensure success in your photo shooting.

There is so much opportunity in wildlife photography for capturing some very good pictures. Do not get upset when you lose a god shoot because the animals will never stand still waiting for you to take pictures. In any case you are an intruder to you and they may just want to speed you off. Patience pays.

Explore the Web with Limewire

Technology has always been their pet who stood tall against compromises and never allowed anything to dampen their soaring spirits. 'You never get the best unless you demand for it' have always struck gold for technology and its advancements. We are about to go through one of those marvels of technology in this write-up, Limewire- arguably the most efficient peer-to-peer file sharing client. We shall try and maintain a healthy distance with technical parlance and details unless it is imperative for us to do so.

Limewire can best be described as an amalgam of search engine and download facilitator. Suppose you want to download a song from the web and you are not sure of its details. Limewire can come handy in those situations with its personalised search options and rather safe download. Whenever a music file, video file, image or document is downloaded via limewire on your PC, it goes through an inbuilt scanning which will intimate you of any suspicious behaviour of the file downloaded. Despite this facility, it is always recommended that you scan those files with the help of some, other reliable security software present in your PC.

Limewire is free software easily available on the web to be downloaded, though a paid version of the same is also available, for general usage limewire free version generally meets the needs. Ideally, it runs on any computer with Java Virtual Machine installed, be it Mac, Linux or Microsoft Windows. Interestingly, Limewire free music download software was the first file sharing application to support firewall-to-firewall file transfers, making it all the more dependable and user friendly.

Despite load of features which limewire is equipped with, limewire free music download facility remains the most applicable feature in which consumers find an infallible ally and a one stop solution to their music search/download needs.

Portrayed Character - The Other Side of Personality

We are bombarded with different information everyday. From tragic, heroism, politics, name it, every single detail of change in the world is being broadcast, reenacted in a mischievous event or it is even programmed in 3Ds MAX presented in an animated manner just to stimulate the senses of the viewer or the reader. The more controversial the issue and the person involved the better. Thus, information is good in this way, but it always accompanies something underground, guess what?

It is good to be informed of things and events coming from different places of the world because it makes us abreast about the events happening around the country in a way that we compare and judge things based on our own beliefs. Information that regards to world organizations where we are one of the member nations will keep as informed on the advantages and disadvantages about the organization and the field it specializes. Just like what had happen just recently in PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) where Gillian Anderson, "X FILES" star and a well known personality in the organization had joined a ritual in Kenya. She drank blood from the neck of a goat and lamb. As an ordinary person informed with such a thing, I could not comprehend enough the reasons why she did. How about the members from different countries?

On the other way around, it is good to have a well known member in the organization for them to easier to invite new members. Likewise, the objective will be easier to disseminate. Another bonus will be the fact that the organization could easily gather sponsors for future projects.

Personalities in the media or in the entrainment industry could be of great help. Another example is Oprah Winfrey. She donated a 40 million USD to fund a school for the South African young ladies. Chain reaction occurred, other personalities like Tina Turner and some coming from different academy followed to support Winfreys purpose. When the Lord showers humanitarian services, only Oprah got the chance to scoop a huge amount.

Of course there are other movie personalities who extend humanitarian services, like the song entitled We Are The World, this was sung by different singers, to name some, Rod Stewart, Bonnie Tyler, Diana Rose and more. The profit gained from this song was donated to the less fortunate. But giving a 40 million USD is another thing.

People with clean conscience and with good heart nowadays are few. Most of us are bonded with personal motives. These motives are factors that clouded are views for a vivid reason for us to help wholeheartedly.

Home Made Power Plant Review - "How to Make Wind Power For the Home" Guide Review

Would you like to find out more about the Home Made Power Plant guide, and whether or not you can really build your own sources of power at home? Having your own power sources at home can save a lot of money. I decided to get the Home Made Power Plant guide to learn how to build my own wind turbines and solar panels at home.

1. What Is Inside The Home Made Power Plant guide?

With this instruction manual, I have been able to make my own wind turbine and solar power generator for a very low cost. Today, my electricity bills have dropped by about 80% and I am able to sell my excess power back to my power company. The guide contains clearly written steps and illustrations that teach you how to set up everything, and contain a list of parts that you will need to start building.

2. Why I Decided To Purchase The Home Made Power Plant Guide

I already knew that electrical energy generated from wind turbines was really good, so I was really keen to try it out when I saw this guide. Making my own alternate energy also meant that I would be helping to save the environment by using less electricity from power companies. Many cities are already generating wind power to meet some of their needs, and people are generally very pleased that they are producing alternate energy.

3. Is The Home Made Power Plant Guide Difficult To Understand?

Initially I anticipated myself to take a long time to build everything, but I was glad that the guide was very easy to understand and I managed to complete everything much faster than I expected.

Is the Home Made Power Plant guide a scam? Visit http://www.top-review.org/homemadepowerplant.htm to read a FREE report about this home power system!

Trends In Swimwear For Muslim Women

A revolution in the Muslim women's swimwear - the burqini or burkini. Burkini means a combination of burqa and bikini. It is a type of swimsuit designed by Lebanese Austrialian designer Aheda Zanetti under the company name Ahiida. The suit covers the whole body except the face, hands and feet in accordance with Muslim views on modesty. It looks like a full-length wetsuit with a built-in hood, but is somewhat looser and made of swimsuit material. It is being described as the perfect Muslim/Islamic swimwear solution for Muslim women who want to swim but have reservations about "revealing" bathing suits.

The Bodykini is also designed to conform to Islamic values and is aimed at active Muslim women who can now emnjoy swimming in public areas or water sports. The bodykini is designed to enhance athletic performance and allows maximum movement while in or out of water. It also provides UV protection, from the sun's rays.

These are an updated version of full-body swim wear which conforms to Islam's conservative views on women's dress. They are increasingly stylish, intricate sequin designs with miniskirts that go over long pants. The polyester, nylon and lycra material allows for flexible movement in water and does not cling to the woman's body when she exits water.

The suits now being made are increasingly fashionable in moderate Muslim countries like Indonesia and Malaysia as well. They don't absorb water and are very light and thin, so they're safe and very comfortable. One of the top company producing Islamic bathing suits, Hasema, says he can't produce them quick enough to keep pace with demand. The company exports to Egypt, North America, England and Australia. For many Muslim women, these suits offer the only alternative to wearing regular clothes when swimming.

In Egypt swimsuits for Muslim women are better known as "Sharia swimsuit". They are part of a growing industry catering for religiously-observant women. It is no longer mainly the westernised elite that can afford such leisure activities as swimming. In such a conservative society, many women have until now either had to sit on one side or go into the water in their clothes. To them, the "Sharia swimsuit" offers one solution. It is a high-necked, swimming costume with sleeves and a small skirt, to be worn over long trousers.

Dong Ho Folk Painting In My Heart

All of us - old people have had a childhood with spring days of very Vietnamese sound and colors, as poet Tu Xuong said:

"The firecrackers crackles in the yard outside

The painting of chickens flashy on the wall inside."

Every time having a chance to come back Dong Ho, we are always strongly impressed by girls folk songs:

"A brother walking on the road

Please stop to enjoy the senses for driving the sadness away

Please buy a bright color picture

Please buy a flock of chickens or pigs."

With that sweet memory, I visited the Folk Painting Hall of the Art Museum. In there, pictures from Dong Ho as well as Hang Trong describe fully Vietnamese spring moods. The colors are so alive as if dancing, heroes in pictures seem to challenge the time. Dong Ho's paintings are really sincere, authentically Vietnamese, therefore anyone living distant from the fatherland bears in their mind the Dong Ho's aestheticism, as poet Hoang Cam said:

"Dong Ho's chickens and pigs pictures are cheerful

National colors are dazzling on painting papers."

Natural colors of red stones, leaves, oyster shells, flowers, wood and bamboo leaves coal...are used only and become typical features of Dong Ho's painting papers. In fact, those color sources exist everywhere in the country, but only Dong Ho people know how to use them as art materials. Available in nature, the colors become valuable art materials. The smooth, shiny "Dzo" paper is for writing poems only. But after coated colors from oyster shell or red stones, the paper can be transferred into glittering stars sky. Thanks to creative, talent mind of Dong Ho people, the very simple things have become nation's art property, Dong Ho people have contributed to human-kind's such a valuable beauty.

With a deep impression, I came back to the cradle of the art treasure. Thorough many centuries, 17 families of Dong Ho have lived and produced pictures. But unfortunately, only Nguyen Dang's family has followed the trade. In the years of the 21st century, only one person remains paining, preserving Dong Ho's art - artist Nguyen Dang Che.

Dong Ho is a small village but it is easy to find. From Hanoi, go along the High way No1 Bac Ninh. At 30th Kilometer, turn to the road No. 38, go ahead 12 Kilometer more, across the river or go along the High way No. 5 to Phu Thuy station at 16th Kilometer. Turn to the road No. 179 go ahead 2Kilometer and turn to the road 181, go to about 20Kilometer, you will reach Dong Ho. Artist Nguyen Dang Che will show you the most sufficient set of carving boards - a picture making process from A to Z and many picture collections. Hopefully, there will be next generations after him to go on with the Dong Ho's painting trade for keeping it alive forever.

Holographic Storage Kills BluRay?

Holographic storage ships next month. The technology was in the works for decades before becoming a reality. Every now and then I read about something and go "wow - that's the future!". I remember when I was a kid in the 80's and my day telling me about computer storage and memory doubling nearly every six months. He also told me "someday you'll be able to carry your 30 albums or your entire record collection on a small postage stamp sized chip in your pocket." It seemed like something out of the movies back then, and yet my 4GB SD Flash card for my digital camera can hold about 1,000 songs which I guess is about 75-80 CD's (and it's about the size of a postage stamp).

We've all seen a holograph in a sci-fi movie. A holograph is a projected image that, if you moved around it, would actually have perspective form different angles. A holograph is a true "3D image". So, how do you turn a holograph into storage? Technically a holograph IS storage, because it stores information about the image to be projected. A hologram uses 2 laser beams. A reference and illumination beam create an interference pattern on photo sensitive media. Shine a laser on that reference pattern and get an image in 3D - simple as that. Robin Harris brings up to good points in that article, the first being that a small fraction of the reference data can reconstruct the entire 3D images (you just can't move as far around it). This means that unlike a CD or DVD, if the photo sensitive media is scratched it doesn't (completely) destroy the data. Imagine data that can "reconstruct itself" from the remaining bits. His other point was that the amount of storage is just about limitless. By changing the reference point and illumination of the beams different holographs can be produced - so hundreds (or more) could be stored in the exact same space on the media.

Oh - did I mention the fact that photographic media has a lifespan of over 100 years, so holographic storage has the longest lifespan of any media to date. The company that created this holographic storage technology is "InPhase" and the first units will be shipped for $18,000 next month. One disk costs $180 and stores 300GB.

Why do we care? For the same reason that both CD and DVD players were thousands when they first came out. This is the future of technology. Movie studios with long term storage needs will gladly pay $18,000 for this device, but as the prices drop I think that this kind of technology will be something that consumers need. You can buy a half-terabyte drive at your local Wal-Mart now for $100. I think it's great to be able to back up all of our digital pictures and music on an external drive for our home network. But as time goes on I will need multiple ones, and eventually some will fail - and eventually I'll lose some really cherished memories. I think that's why a lot of people I know print out so many digital pictures on photo paper - they know that if somehow the digital copy is lost, the printed version should last a lifetime. If InPhase eventually created a consumer version holographic storage drive, wouldn't you buy one? I mean come on, you could store you family digital photos knowing that the media would be good up to 100 years. I know of no other storage technology other than printed photos themselves that could give you that kind of piece of mind.

Think about the industry uses this could bring. Movie theaters could ship out their blockbusters to the theaters on these disks knowing the quality wouldn't diminish no matter how many times they were rented out. Web hosts could practically offer "uncorruptable backups". You may not know this, but your local cable company usually has movies "downloaded" on their local server for the video "on demand" services you can watch. With holographic storage they could store tens of thousands of movies for you to watch, and not just hundreds. Unbelievable amounts of data could be stored in black boxes of planes, trains, and automobiles. You could possibly take your entire entertainment system from your living room to your car on one disk. Entire textbooks could begin to be stored on disk cartridges to be read in standard readers and books in schools and universities would not only be cheaper, but the quality of the content would never diminish (just the hardware readers to view them).

So that's why I think holographic storage is a future BluRay killer. How many years will that be? I don't know. It took 20 years for holographic storage to become a real piece of hardware you could buy. I don't think that it will be 20 more years before what I envision comes true, but it's certainly possible within the next 5-10. But you never know, something might just come along that's even better than this! Read Robin Harris' report on Holographic Storage at c|Net.

Cross Pens

Pens have a sort of a Latin origin because this name is derived for a Latin word 'Penna'. The name actually means feather and this makes you think of the ancient pens that were nothing more than a feather whose featherless tip was dipped in ink and used to write. Today, pens are more advance. They came in all sort of names depending on their make and material they are made of. For example, you must have hard of felt pens, fountain pens, Reed pens, quill pens, roller balls, ballpoint, gel pens and many others.

Cross pens are just another make of pens that have a traditional make and are not considered as trendy as a majority of other pens common in the market. the idea of cross pens began with a man called Walter R. Boss in 1916, who was joined by his son and together they worked to realize their dream. For 40 years they worked and attracted new partners.

The pens made by this company became more than just a business venture and turned it into artistic work that attracted many people. the pens come with considerable prices which are relevant to the tradition that the pens represent. They became the best Century II pen models and the company was actually listed in the American Stock Exchange and this is how it grew.

Some types of the cross pens that were designed are the Town send fountain pen and the Selectip ballpoint that were made of high quality materials like gold, black lacquer, medalist and titanium. the first pen to appear did so in 1930 and till today, the company has upheld quality in the production of the pens.

Shopping Around For Your New HDTV

HDTVs have become very popular very quickly, and with the switchover from analogue to digital by broadcasters very shortly, the need for a digital television is not one based purely on aesthetics. Certainly there us a great deal to be said as far as design is concerned for having a smart flat panel mounted on the wall in the living room, and it takes up a great deal less space as well. But there is more to simply choosing the size colour of the frame of your new HDTV, and some of the options can be a little confusing to the unwary and those still reeling from the shock of seeing television in colour.

The first thing is that not all HDTVs are built equally. There are different levels of quality, and different ways of formatting the picture. These differences are too technical to be included in this article, but if you are in the market to buy a new HDTV it would be well worth your while purchasing a magazine that can give you reviews and advice on current models, or doing a little more research online.

One of the most obvious choices that you will need to make is whether to go for a traditional looking direct view or tube television, or a flat panel. The advantage of direct view is that they are usually much cheaper. They also offer better contrast of colour with darker shades (in other words black looks blacker) and the viewing angle is much greater. This means that in a living room it will make no difference where you sit, whereas with some flat panel televisions if you sit anywhere other than directly in front of it you tend to get a loss of detail, loss of colour and eventually loss of the picture entirely.

Make sure you are aware of the difference between flat panel and flat screen televisions - because they are not one and the same thing. All too often people tend to use the terms interchangeably, but they are quite different. Flat screen televisions are simply standard televisions with a large tube, but instead of the base of the tube (the screen) being convex (curved), it is completely flat. This gives a sharper and less distorted picture. Flat panel televisions on the other hand are the very narrow type which can be mounted on the wall and take up very little depth at all. The screens are also flat, but unlike the tube sets, there is almost no depth to the television itself.

Another thing to look for is the choice of flat panel HDTVs between LCD and Plasma. The LCD televisions will be very much cheaper, but offer a very narrow viewing angle. Plasma television sets have a wider viewing angle, which suits more homes that have wide living rooms rather than narrow ones. The problem with Plasma televisions though is that they are prone to 'image burn'/. This is where an image, if displayed on the screen constantly for an extended period of time, it can become burned onto the screen so that it is still partially visible at all times. This can cause unwanted ghosting and deterioration of the picture. This is more likely if the screen is used to play video games, as many games have portions of the screen where buttons, options and menus sit that are always visible and can end up being displayed for hours at a time.

Real World 3D - A Primer to Making Real Objects from 3d Designs

3D modelling and its corporate big brother of Solid Freeform Fabrication or Rapid Prototyping began in the early 80's as a way to use machines to make objects faster than a traditional modeler could. By using Computer Aided Design machines such as pen plotters and then variable-height plotters, developers soon came up with the means to have a machine able to carve elements out of foam or wood in multiple layers or levels, but it was still one half or one side. A CAD table could produce an object of up to 48"x48" with a depth of up to 4" - but only 1 sided, so two of them would have to be made for an 8" object, or many layers for a more detailed or larger object.

The first Stereo-Lithography system was believed to have been developed at Xerox labs in the mid 1980's by a team of engineers who were experimenting with a way to fuse toner into a more solid substrate. They realised that by using a platform that moved only on the z axis or up and down with a scanning laser that could traverse across the entire plate on the x- and y- axis they could harden a layer of waxy toner, then drop the platform down a tiny fraction, put new toner on, and do the process again, thus they could slowly build up a form in 3 dimensions.

Xerox was pretty creative in the 70's and 80's - In 1971, a team from Xerox came up with the idea of putting a printhead assembly and scanning laser into a photocopier and created the first laser printer.
So, realising that this solid manufacturing process could be commercialised, they let the word out to manufacturers and developers who could put the idea to good use.

In 1988, a team led by S. Scott Crump developed a process called Fused Deposition Modelling. They went on to form the company Stratasys and produced Rapid Prototyping machines that used this technology to create physical objects from 3d models.

Laminated Object Manufacturing or LOM is a process developed and commercialized by Heliosys, in which many layers of laminated paper are sealed together after they have been cut into shape, creating a 3d object consisting of thousands or tens of thousands of sheets tightly bonded together.

Laser Engineered Net Shaping or LENS is a recent process developed by Sandia Labs where a laser is focussed onto a steady stream of metal particles sprayed into a pool of liquid metal. This process builds up a fully realised object with no hollow portions or any gaps. The metal is fully dense and the final part is almost as strong as a milled item. Optomec has licensed the LENS technology into a Rapid Prototyping machine.

Selective Laser Sintering or SLS is a process developed by 3D Systems where a laser strikes a bed of metal or plastic powder, fusing portions of it into the required shape. The bed is lowered, more powder added, and the laser passes over it again. This process, which is the original basis of the LENS process, can be used to create both fully solid or partially solid metallic or polymer objects in a limited run environment.

Stereo Lithography uses a laser striking a pool of photopolymer in a pattern defined by the CAD or STL file data. Once the laser has finished it's pass, the platform lowers, immersing the object under the surface of the photopolymer and the laser passes over again, slowly building up an object under the polymer. BaE uses Stereolithography to produce prototypes of equipment and parts extensively.

These methods have a very fine accuracy, ranging from 0.01mm for laminated Object Modelling down to 0.003mm for Stereolithography. This enables models and objects to be made to exacting specifications and allows for items such as jewellery mounts to be designed and then mass-produced in days rather than weeks.

For larger objects such as columns, airplane components, car body panels, statues and the like - a different method can be employed. 3D routers or cutting machines have also been developed that have a cutting or routing blade set on a movable head that can travel on all 3 axes and do very complex carving down to a resolution of around 0.1mm detail, depending on the cutting or routing heads.

The markets for Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing for hobbyists is growing. The machinery ranges in price from $3,500 up to over $500,000 for some of the metal synthesis equipment. This enables hobbyists and people who need limited run products to get them at a fraction of the cost of previous methods such as moulded casting or milling and engraving prototyping.

Just do a search for Rapid Prototyping or Solid Freeform Fabrication - there are plenty of companies out here ready to build your 3d object in 3 full dimensions so you can hold it in your hand.

Tim Morrison is a founding member of Morristreet.com, a technology company developed to bridge the gap between virtual and real worlds in the realm of 3d. Our goal is to be able to produce a 3d image on the computer and then produce it as a physical object - no matter what the complexity or detail involved. In this vein, we keep track of anything in relation to 3D imagery that can bring our goals closer, be it gaming consoles that can do more than play games, hardware imaging solutions, or software that can make our lives easier. Real World 3D is coming, Morristreet is in the lead!

How to Choose the Best LCD Flat TV

If you're looking for the best LCD flat tv, but you feel a little confused about what to buy, don't feel alone. The market for LCD tv's is ever changing, and can seem confusing, unless, of course, you know what's important. In this article, I'm going to tell you what you need to look for when shopping for your next LCD flat tv.

First off, is LCD better or is plasma better? For a while, it looked like plasma, but then LCD picture quality got a lot better. Also, LCD screens have gotten bigger and bigger over the past two or three years. One thing that plasma tv's had over LCD tv's was the quality of the blacks. LCD's just weren't able to deliver deep, rich blacks. That particular problem is a thing of the past. Other issues that have been successfully dealt with are viewing angle and blurring.

In other words, if you're looking for the best LCD flat tv, then you're doing the right thing! Because LCD tv's have come into their own.

You can buy an LCD tv for as little as a few hundred dollars for a small screen to as much as several thousand dollars. Of course, the biggest driving force behind price is screen size. Fortunately for us consumers, there are a number of manufacturers out there, and there's a lot of competition. If you want to get the best LCD tv, then you need to stick with the following manufacturers, LG, Phillips, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, Vizio, and Westinghouse. You can get good deals at places like Best Buy or Target, but shopping online might be something to consider, too! Amazon, for instance, usually has very good prices.

To choose the best LCD flat tv, you need to first off decide on screen size. Be aware that you can sit closer to an LCD flat tv than you could to your old picture tube tv. Since the resolution is better, closer viewing is possible. But that doesn't mean you need to launch out and get the biggest screen you can afford. You also should take the room size into account.

For instance, a 50-inch set will probably be too big for most bedrooms.

Speaking of resolution, the best resolution is 1080p. This refers to the number of lines across the screen and how those lines are arranged. 1080p is fairly new, and not all sets have it. The others probably have 720. You don't necessarily need the higher resolution, though. In a lot of instances, the lower resolution will look just as good. Both qualify for high-definition.

Caffeine Caused Anxiety Attacks

Since the dawning of the "Information Age" in the early 1980's the pace of change has accelerated in our society. To keep pace with the explosion of new information and this rapid rate of change, many people have adopted a new coping strategy of increasing their consumption of caffeine. Caffeine is a drug. It is a stimulant which increases many of same physiological responses as the survival response known as the "Flight-Fight" response. It is this reaction by the body to the stimulation from caffeine that can trigger an anxiety-type physical reaction. Many people are unsuspecting and nave regarding the full extent of this response to which often includes a common, and even, celebrated "rush" of energy. Knowing about this response can keep you from being a victim to caffeine related anxiety attacks.

As a stimulant, the effect of caffeine can be different from one person to the next. The amount of caffeine consumed, and then the amount actually absorbed by the body, can contribute to the range of reactions. It is not uncommon for caffeine to cause an increase in brain wave activity that can arouse a tired mind. This is the most desired response for many sleep deprived people. This can backfire on many people who may have a day long response to their morning coffee (or other caffeine source) because many people can not sleep well at bedtime as a response to this early caffeine consumption. This "vicious cycle" will then cause poor quality sleep/rest which requires more caffeine to get "up" for the next day's activities.

The stimulation caused by caffeine can also increase heart rate and for some people increase their blood pressure as it simulates the release of excitatory hormones like adrenaline (epinephrine.) This rapid heart rate, when severe, can scare people, triggering the hormonal release which can cause a greater anxiety reaction. The frightening response to the physical associations of an anxiety attack can cause fear and can even drive people to the emergency rooms with the concern that the patient believes that they going to die from a heart attack. We have enough anxiety in our society without pushing ourselves over the edge with the stimulation of caffeine.

Caffeine can cause an increase in skeletal muscle tension as it triggers the classic flight response. This muscle tension can be distracting (loss of focus), cause fatigue, and in many cases increase the likelihood of increased muscle spasms and so, muscle contraction pain. In this way, caffeine can contribute to muscle tension headaches from the tightness of muscles in the jaw, neck, and shoulders. For people suffering from chronic muscular tension pain, this can contribute to their tension and pain. It will often cause an increased anxiety driven response to their pain which can intensify their chronic pain complaints. This is especially true for lower back pain and neck/shoulder pain, as well as the peripheral pains in the arms and legs that can be associated with back pain.

For those of you who use caffeine regularly, you should also know that there are plenty of cases of physical and psychological addiction to this drug. Many people feel withdrawal symptoms that are not comfortable when they try to discontinue their caffeine habit. If you want to discontinue, the best way to do this would be gradually over time. Substituting de-caf into your morning coffee and minimizing other caffeine laden products will be helpful. Be patient and drink extra water!

In its defense, caffeine can be helpful for some types of headaches such as migraine headaches which can be reduced by caffeine or associated cafergot. (Cafergot is a brand name of the combination of ergotamine and caffeine.) With its stimulating effects on the digestive system, caffeine may also work as a laxative to minimize problems with constipation. Historically, European coffee "salons" were places where intellectuals could meet and have lively discussions while drinking brewed coffee which was more healthful than the untreated available water which was often contaminated with deadly diseases of the Middle Ages. The other alternative beverage for most Middle Age Europeans was to drink beer or alcoholic drinks which did not encourage good discussion, thinking, or productivity.

Since the 1980's, our society has seen an explosion of coffee houses and Espresso stands. You can not get through any American city without being confronted by easily accessible purveyors of liquid coffee refreshments. Both young and old are caught in this "glamorous" habit with expanding zeal. A gift of choice is the insidious gift certificate for the expensive coffee houses. This has gotten to be big business.

Besides coffee or espresso drinks, caffeine is found in many products. Black teas, green tea, soft drinks, chocolate candy, and as an additive in many other products are but a few of these additional sources for caffeine. There are even a few products with commercial names like: Jolt, Red Bull, and RockStar that cater to the young caffeine crazed generation that seem to require higher concentrations of caffeine. I do not want to deprive people from indulging in these products, but people must be aware of what the effects of these products can do to their body's and to people who interact with caffeine saturated folks. Many cases of "road rage" may be traced to the negative effects of over-caffeinated, stressed drivers.

Let's have some common sense. Moderation is a great rule to follow, especially if you are one the people who are most sensitive to the effects of caffeine. Coffee businesses are not bad or the enemy, we just need to learn how use them in most appropriate ways.

Should You Buy A Refurbished Computer?

OK, so Santa did not see fit to leave you a shiny new PC way back at last Christmas. How rude. Oh well, ... maybe next year. Now you may be thinking of your options. Should you buy a new computer? Or a refurbished model?

Generally, I do not think buying a used computer is a good idea. Often, you are buying someone else's problems. A refurbished machine is supposed to be restored to like-new condition, but you have no way to tell if this is really so.

Second-hand laptops can be even more problematic. Repair costs are usually higher than with desktop models to begin with, because everything is so packed together in a small space, making it harder to work on. Also, laptops by their nature get moved, bumped and jolted around quite a bit.

Many people buy too much computer for their needs. If money is tight, look for a new budget machine. Watch for sales. Be aware, though, that these low-end computers can be expensive or impossible to upgrade, may have a limited number of ports, etc.

Another possibility to save money is to keep your old monitor and printer, if they still work. Just buy the new computer itself. Are you buying for a student? You might find a juicy discount on a new machine at the campus bookstore, or on the manufacturer's Web site. Look online for savings or free upgrade coupons.

Before going for the refurbished unit, here are a few additional points to keep in mind:

1. Shop around and get an idea of the cost of a new, similar computer first. Then make sure you get a big discount on that used model. Apple sells refurbished laptops on its site here: http://store.apple.com Dell and Hewlett-Packard do the same;

2. Make sure you get a written warranty, and read it carefully BEFORE shelling out your cash;

3. Check to see if you are getting the manual, other documents and especially the installation CD and the original CDs for the other applications on the computer;

4. Insist on using the computer for perhaps an hour, at least, to do different tasks (unless of course you are buying online). Surf the Web, check your email, etc. This will provide you with some assurance that it basically works;

5. Be extra cautious if buying at online auctions. Check the seller's reputation carefully.

Refurbished machines are not necessarily of poor quality. Be patient, be careful, and you can find yourself a good machine that will last for years.

Leather CD Cases

Those who have grown tired of storing their compact disks in plastic containers and wish to have a more elegant way of storing and protecting their compact disks have the option to purchase leather cases. Leather compact disk cases are widely available and come in a variety of colors, leather types, sizes and compact disk capacities. Prices vary, and you can expect to pay more if the case is made of top quality leather. They are slightly bigger than the usual compact disk jewel cases but vary in thickness, depending on how many compact disks you insert in the built-in leaves or envelopes.

Some CD cases are made of Nappa leather that is supple and very soft to the touch. Nappa cases cost more compared to the other kinds of leather, but their elegance is quite impressive and is preferred by those with sophisticated tastes. Cheaper leather cases are also available and are made of top grain leather. Still elegant, these leather cases offer the elegance and contemporary look that appeal to the budget friendly shopper.

These leather compact disk cases come in a variety of colors including the usual black, brown and beige. They also come in hues as vibrant as red, yellow, orange or any other color that fits not only the consumer's taste but also favorite color schemes.

Leather compact disk cases that are similar to folders are also gaining popularity due to the number of compact disks that can be stored in them. They may be secured through the use of a zipper or clasps that hold the leather hinges in place, thus, securing the compact disks.

Digital Cameras that Kick It Up a Notch

In an age when printers often act as copier, fax machine, and scanner and cell phones are not content to simply communicate, it would seem pass for a digital camera to rest on its laurels simply capturing and editing great images. With the challenge laid down, the digital camera has stepped up in the form of cross functional multimedia cameras.

First and foremost the multimedia camera offers great, high resolution still photography capabilities. The Samsung Digimax i6 and i70 as well as the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-M2 are examples which offer 6-7 megapixel resolution. Complete with sought after features such as optical zoom and a 2.5" - 3.0" LCD screen these cameras don't give up much to accommodate their added functionality.

In addition to shooting photos, a multimedia camera can record high quality MPEG-4 video complete with stereo sound in some instances. With the Digimax i6 providing optical zoom and automatic macro focus, the filming capabilities are impressive. The Cyber-Shot version also provides video-editing and DVD-writing software for users to get creative in producing memorable films. Certainly, the efficiency of having a combined camcorder and still camera device in one is evident but the cost savings in some instances could be significant as well.

In addition to capturing great video, the Digimax i6 can play videos transferred from computer with TV quality images. Further encroaching on the domain of MP3 players, multimedia cameras live up to their name by offering MP3 download and play functions rounding out the entertainment experience.

The evolution of photography for the average home shutterbug has been vastly changed by the digital camera in the last decade, adding greater control over image quality and composition. With the introduction of the multimedia camera, it is clear the influence of digital cameras will continue well into the future.

The author, Christine Peppler, encourages readers to visit her website for more information about purchasing a camera or other home electronics device.

Things to Look For in a Wall Bracket

If you are looking for the perfect wall bracket to mount your television, you might be amazed by all of the choices out there. Maybe when you initially went shopping for a bracket you thought you would just run into the store and grab the package that said "wall bracket." Then you realized that there were lots of different kinds and they all have different specifications. How do you know which one to get? Which one best meets your needs?

First, you need to get a wall bracket that will support the weight of your television set. If you do not know the weight of your TV, you need to find out before you purchase the bracket. It is very important that the bracket you purchase is made to hold a television set of that weight, or you could end up having a very big problem on your hands when your TV comes crashing down from the wall. When it comes to mounting a television set, it is in your best interest to stay on the safe side of things.

Another key thing to consider before buying your bracket is the type of wall it will be used on - is it an internal wall, a concrete wall etc? If you are trying to mount a large and heavy television then you need to make sure you mount it on a wall strong enough to support it. Make sure the wall bracket you buy is suitable for your wall type as well as the weight of the television.

Once you have found a section of wall brackets that will hold the weight of your television, you must then decide what kinds of features are important to you. Do you want a wall mount that is fixed? Would you prefer something that can tilt or swivel, or something that will mask the cables? If you know where your television is going to be placed, it will be easier for you to decide what kinds of features are necessary. For example, if the television is going to be at an angle from the sofa, you might want to get a bracket that swivels. Consider what you need and then find that item from the available selection.

You also want to find the wall bracket that fits into the scheme of the display you are trying to achieve. Aesthetics are incredibly important when you are hanging something from a wall. Keep that in mind, as once you have the wall bracket up, you are not likely to want to take it down.

After you have finally found that perfect bracket, look it over. Is it going to be easy to install or is it going to be difficult? By purchasing a wall bracket that is easy to install, you can do it yourself without hiring outside help. If you would like to save money on the installation, make sure that you have found an item that you can install on your own. If it looks too complicated, you might want to browse through your options again in order to find something less complex.

When picking out a wall bracket, find the perfect one the first time. Save yourself the time and trouble of having to take your television down off of the mount so you can replace it. That is a lot of effort, and it can be avoided by taking your time and making sure that you get the right one the first time.

Laura Coates is a Director of Chase AV Direct, specialists in audio visual accessories, including a wide range of LCD wall mounts and plasma wall brackets.

Spy Recording Gadgets

Mini digital voice recorders are mostly used as spy accessories or surveillance gadgets. Like any recorder, it can also record memos, seminars, lectures, and dictations. It can also store telephone conversations. Small units can be placed in the desk or inside the pocket. Some models can store from as low as 2 hours to a maximum of 20 to 30 hours worth of recording.

Manufacturers created and designed several mini recorders in several forms like pens, watches or key rings. Ten Safety Tips For the Use of Power Tools

Power tools are normally used in the construction sector, as well as for DIY people who are renovating or improving their homes. In most instances power tools can be hired from reputable companies, and some can be purchased. It is wiser to hire when you are certain you will not need the tools again after your DIY project, or if you cannot afford to purchase the power tools you will be requiring.

The use of power tools is favored because they will make the job at hand a lot easier, and will save a lot of time and effort. It is important to keep in mind that power tools can be dangerous, and need to be handled expertly and with care to avoid injury. Here are ten safety tips to ensure the ultimate protection whilst operating power tools:

1: Safety Glasses

Safety glasses, or eye protection, will ensure that you prevent wood shavings, dust, debris and fiberglass from coming into contact wit your eyes. Safety glasses or goggles are one of the most important and basic pieces of equipment to be used when operating power tools.

2: Ear Protection

Ear protection is vital, because a large variety of power tools are very noisy and can cause hearing damage. The noise generated from these tools can sound even louder in the enclosed environment of a garage or workshop. Ear protection can come in the form of ear muffs or ear plugs.

3: The Correct Tool for the Necessary Purpose

It is important that you choose the correct tools for the purpose that you will be using it for. This is to ensure that you conduct the job correctly, with as least risk as possible.

4: The Correct Method of Using Power Tools

Power tools should always be handled correctly to ensure safety and a longer life span. Tools should never be carried by their cords and tools that are not in use should always be disconnected.

5: Inspection of Tools

Power tools should never be used in wet environments, or be exposed or submersed in water. Inspections of the cords should be conducted before each use for exposed wiring, loose plug pins or damaged plugs. Cords that have slight cuts can be taped, although cords that have deep cuts must be replaced for optimum safety. Tools that have been dropped or damaged must always be repaired by a professional.

6: The Right Clothing for the Operation of Power Tools

If you have long hair, it should be tied up, and all loose clothing must be avoided. You do not want anything to become entangled in the power tool in use! Ideally, clothing that will cover the entire body is preferable. Heavy gloves are advised to prevent sharp splinters or implements from injuring your hands. A mask over your nose and mouth can be necessary when there is the risk of inhaling harmful minute particles from a material that is being worked on.

7: Cleanliness of Your Work Station

This should always be adhered to as accumulated dust particles in the air can ignite very easily with a simple spark from metallic sawing. Any flammable liquids must be kept away from power tools in use. You will want an uncluttered work area to avoid entanglement of the cord.

8: Caution with Certain Tools

Miter saws and table saws should only be used with a quick release clamp and then a wood push-through, respectively. Extra caution is advised when using nail guns and power belt sanders.

9: Correct Storage of Tools

Power tools should be placed in special containers in locked cupboards after use to prevent unauthorized usage by people who are not well versed in their handling.

10: Sufficient Lighting

It is important for safety and the quality of your work to have sufficient lighting in your work space. This is especially so when you are using your power tools in a garage or basement.

With the correct safety methods carried out by a well researched person, using safety tools will be easy and efficient.

The Benefits of Using a Home Cinema Designer

Designing a Home Cinema Room utilises a different skill set than our usual multi-room audio and video installations. Home Cinema's work by having a good atmosphere and being pleasing to the eye. When we install whole house systems we rarely get involved in the individual room designs - we might install in-ceiling speakers and a TV but we wouldn't get involved in paint finishes and carpet styles. The closest we might come is adapting an existing piece of furniture to house a plasma lift or setting up lighting scenes for the first time.

In a Home Cinema room things like the type of flooring and the finish on the walls have a large impact on the quality of the end product both in terms of acoustics and the harder to label 'feel' of the room. This feel of the room should try to encapsulate some of the excitement of going to the cinema and the anticipation of sitting down to watch the latest eagerly awaited blockbuster film. Utilising dark colours can reduce visual reflections in the room and, with dimmed lights, ensure the home cinema screen is the most prominent item in the room. Thick carpet can create a real sense of luxury but also contribute to the aesthetics of the room - absorbing unwanted standing waves and reducing sound leakage to adjoining rooms. Home Cinema Seating should be chosen to accommodate the owner - it is possible to get a huge variety of finishes in leather and fabric and options such as contrast stitching or embroidered initials can really drive home the the bespoke special feel of the room. Day beds can be an option to traditional home cinema seating providing the ultimate place to relax and spend time with the whole family.

Our clients report back that spending time as a family is perhaps the most important element of their home cinema - kids tend to love the fact they can have the movie experience at home. Parents of older children also enjoy the fact that their children spend time with their friends in the safety of your home. The Integration of a Kaleidescape DVD server can ensure kids only have access to the films you want them to be able to see, films with ratings for older kids wont even show unless you enter your pin, and using the list view you can even view films by length ensuring you have time to enjoy the film before bed time.

DLP Lamp Replacement - So Your DLP Lamp Died?

If you own a rear-projection TV, chances are you will eventually come across the annoying little phenomenon of DLP Lamp failure. Your TV will get dimmer and dimmer as the brightness of the bulb decreases, until eventually there is no picture at all. So what do you do, now that you have this huge TV with no picture?

Well, before you start thinking you have a novelty-sized paper weight, you'll want to see if you can replace the DLP Lamp. Chances are, however, by the time your DLP Lamp dies, your TV will be out of warranty. Luckily it's really not that hard to replace it yourself. There are tons of companies out there that sell DLP Lamps, both as OEM and as a full kit, depending on what you need. OEM comes with just the bulb while the 'kit' comes with the lamp inside an enclosure. The main difference between the two is price and ease of use. OEM bulbs are cheaper, while the kits provide faster installation. All you need for installation are some gloves, a screwdriver and some wire cutters.

One company of particularly good quality is DLP Lamps. Even with OEM orders, each lamp comes with instructions and gloves are supplied as well. If along the way you are unsure about what to do during the lamp installation, you can call them up and they can walk you through step-by-step to insure your lamp is installed correctly. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable and even rival eBay auctions of the same product!

Next time your picture goes out, consider buying a new DLP Lamp before throwing away hundreds or possibly thousands of dollars on a new TV. In fact, it's probably best to keep a spare one laying around, just in case.

New Gadgets Provide Home Entertainment Centers In Miniature

One of the most fascinating new types of gadgets on the market is the portable video device. These things are also called portable media or entertainment devices, and are direct descendants of the MP3 player. In addition to the digital audio that MP3 players could provide, portable video devices can play video on built in color LCD screens, display digital photos on the same screen, and many models can even be used to play video games as well. These gadgets have a lot of features built into small packages and come in a tremendous variety of different models that range from very basic models all the way up to home entertainment systems in miniature.

On the lower end of the portable video device spectrum are models that are about the same size as many audio gizmos, yet have a surprising capacity to store video. These electronics can easily fit in the palm of one's hand and display video on a screen only an inch or two across, depending on the model. These gadgets can cost as little as fifty dollars and are available anywhere.

On the larger end of the spectrum are some really impressive electronics. These gadgets have hard drives that are bigger than the hard drives in the computers that many of us are still using, and can store anywhere from dozens to hundreds of hours of video depending on the format that the video is stored in. Archos is a major manufacturer of this technology and builds a ton of features into its higher end models. For example, this company makes one model that has a screen that's over four inches across that has touchscreen functionality. This model has built in WiFi capabilities that enable it to access the Internet in a variety of different locations that have wireless hot spots. It even has a built in Opera web browser and the ability to zoom in on specific parts of a web page in order to allow its user to read the page better. It can also display the contents of its screen on a normal TV set in order to provide better visibility. It can also display PDF files that it has downloaded from the Internet as well.

Archos also provides an impressive array of accessories for its higher end portable video gadgets. For example, it's possible to get various docking stations for the devices that enable them to record video that other devices play. This is especially useful because it provides the option of watching anything on the gadgets hard drive either on the full sized TV set or on the go, and the decision can be made on a moment's notice. Plus, with options of recording video in MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 formats, these high end gadgets give their users a good deal of control over how video is recorded.

If you're a busy person who loves TV and video, these entertainment centers in miniature are the perfect gadgets for you.

Coffee Or Tea - Which Is Better For You?

Most people cannot function without either their morning cup of coffee or tea. While, its mostly the caffeine that gets people going, a side benefit from drinking these beverages is that you may be boosting your immune system and helping to fight disease.

While the health benefits of drinking green tea have been much publicized, few people realize that drinking coffee can have health benefits as well but recent studies show that coffee may share some of the healthy attributes that green tea has shown.

Like green tea, coffee has antioxidants including quinines, chlorogenic acid and tocopherols as well as essential minerals such as magnesium. All of which help in glucose metabolism and result in those who regularly drink coffee having a reduced risk of diabetes. Both coffee and green tea have been shown to contain compounds which have antibacterial properties that can help prevent tooth decay and may help to fight food poisoning.

Green tea has been shown to have a role in the prevention of cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, cataracts, and to help boost your immune system. In addition, green tea may also help you lose weight and is said to help lower blood sugar and cholesterol as well as slow the aging process.

Coffee is said to contain compounds that boost the activity of enzymes which may protect against colon cancer (according to animal studies published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry). Other health benefits of coffee include a reduced risk of developing Parkinsons Disease, help in relieving asthma symptoms, stopping tension headaches, and inhibiting the formation of gallstones.

When it comes to the question of how much coffee or tea you need to benefit the answers can be a bit confusing. While most everyone agrees that the caffeinated should only be taken in small amounts (no more than 3 cups of coffee a day) to avoid the addictive qualities of the caffeine, its a bit more vague on how much tea is recommended. Some say 10 cups a day, others say you can experience the benefits with 3 cups a day.

How To Download Games Onto PSP

The hot thing today is the PSP. If you don't have one, you may not understand why. If you do, you understand the draw of it. The PSP is a piece of equipment that goes far beyond a portable video game.

The games are on a small disk known as a UMD that can be carried around easily. There are also memory sticks that you can use to store games on. So, how do you download games onto your PSP from your computer?

Here is your guide:

When programmers design games specifically for the PSP, they are sometimes referred to as Homebrew Games. Some of these Homebrew Games are made for the PSP game console to mimic games made for other systems so you do not have to have every console made in order to play every game.

For example, a game that was made for Nintendo may be Homebrewed to play with your PSP console so you can have the fun of the Nintendo, but not the expense. This is just one of the many selling points for the PSP because you can download Homebrew PSP games from just about anywhere you look online.

To download a game on to PSP from the Internet, you will need a PSP memory stick with sufficient memory. It is advisable that the stick have at least 1GB of memory to accommodate graphic, sound and any personal settings. However, these cards can get expensive, so if you do not have one or do not have the money to buy one, a 256 MB stick will most likely work. If your stick is brand new, it will have to be formatted before downloading.

An important note: you will need your PSP Firmware version 1.5 or less. If you have a newer PSP you may have to downgrade.

It is quite simple to download games for PSP from the Internet to your PC , then move the files from your computer to the PSP itself. When you hook up the PSP to the PC via a USB cable, the PC will recognize it as a removable memory device. Then the computer will assign a drive; usually the f: drive; and then you can simply drag and drop your PSP game files to the memory stick.

After the games for the PSP are transferred to the memory stick, tell the computer you want to disconnect the PSP. Once the computer gives the 'all clear' you can safely remove the PSP.

The PSP's main menu will have a listing called GAME and press the Memory Stick option. After pressing X, a list is displayed of the games on your memory stick. If there is an error displayed, you might want to check the version of Firmware you are using.

Now that you know how to download games onto PSP ...go out there and give it a shot. This is a technique that has been used to download games onto PSP countless times.

Ryan Edward has scoured the Internet, testing and reviewing 37 different PSP download sites and has officially crowned the winner "King of PSP Downloads" check out his website now to see who won the crown and why http://www.ryanstips.com/psp
