The ShopRider Echo 3

It can be very difficult to walk around without assistance if you suffer from arthritis or other joint related problems. Individuals who find it hard to walk often rely on electric scooters to get around. One very lightweight, reliable, and easy to use scooter is the Echo 3 by ShopRider.

ShopRider is a manufacturer of mobility scooters. They have been manufacturing electric power wheelchairs and electric mobility scooters since 1988 and are based out of Carson California. They have been leading the industry in innovations and setting standards. All of their products are backed by impressive warranties, but they are all of high quality and it is not very likely that you would need to use the warranty.

They have several different models and the Echo 3 is a 3-wheeled scooter that falls into the travel scooter category. This means that it can be easily dismantled into several easy to manage pieces. These types of scooters are great for taking on vacation and can be easily shipped on a plane. One of the major advantages of travel scooters is that they can be transported easily and do not require that you invest in a scooter carrier for your vehicle.

The Echo 3 is actually the lightest mobility scooter that is currently available on the market and weighs only 70 pounds. When it is disassembled the heaviest piece is only 35 pounds and it breaks down into 3 pieces. The battery weighs 15 pounds and must be removed to be recharged, but it is a connector-less battery pack. This means that the battery can be quickly and easily removed and to replace it, you must simply drop it in place and do not need to worry about any wires or terminal connections. The Echo 3 is a fairly small scooter in regards to its dimensions and it has an overall width of 20 inches and an overall length of 37 inches.

The Echo 3 use foam filled tires that are puncture proof and so you will never need to add any air to them. It can travel up to 8 miles per charge and can travel at up to 3.8 miles per hour. It can support up to 250 pounds and has a turning radius or 32 inches, which makes it perfect for use indoors.

While this scooter is very lightweight and extremely easy to transport, it does not have many extra features. It can go in reverse and comes in either red or blue, but does not have any of the other perks that larger scooters might have. The range of the device is only 8 miles per charge and this makes it impractical for some situations. 3-wheeled scooters traditionally have decreased stability and due to its size the ShopRider Echo 3 is not built to handle uneven terrain and is best used indoors.

A travel scooter can be a great way to ensure that you are always free to move around and are never left stranded. Due to its size and ease of transport, the Echo 3 is one of the easiest scooters to handle.
